Hundreds marched in Karachi City in Pakistan on Friday to condemn the US President Donald Trump’s alleged peace plan for the Middle East known as the “Deal of the Century”.
The protesters took to the streets following Friday Prayer raising banners slamming the “deal” and expressing solidarity with the Palestinians.
Mohammed Hussain Mahanti a senior leader in Jamaat-e-Islami Movement in a speech he delivered during the demonstration denounced the “Deal of the Century” calling it a “farce” and a “false image of justice”.
For his part Saber Karbalai Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan said that the Pakistani people unanimously reject Trump’s plan.
“We want to send a clear message to the Muslim leaders who support this injustice that the Muslim nation will never accept this (plan)” he said.
On Tuesday Trump announced in Washington in the presence of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the outlines of his alleged “peace plan” for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The deal received a complete rejection from the Palestinian Authority and all Palestinian parties as they believe it is aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and dropping basic rights of the Palestinian people.
