The two Palestinian prisoners Musa Sufan and Iyad Omar in the Ashkelon prison clinic are suffering from worsening health conditions due to the Israeli policy of medical neglect the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs reported on Sunday.
“The health condition of 47-year-old prisoner Musa Sufan from Tulkarem has been deteriorating since he has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in the lung” the Commission underlined adding that the doctors decided to give him a biologic treatment which is three injections each month.
The Commission charged that prisoner Sufan who is serving a life sentence and suffers from multiple medical complications is exposed to medical neglect as the Israeli prison administration delays giving him the injections in addition to procrastinating on diagnosing his tumor to determine its nature.
According to a report issued by the Commission prisoner Iyad Omar continues to boycott the clinic of Ashkelon prison in addition to abstaining from taking the medicine for three months to demand his transfer into another detention center.
It added that prisoner Omar suffered from a medical error after one of the Israeli doctors in the prison gave him the wrong medicine pointing out that Omar is diagnosed with a tumor and his condition requires special medical care.
