Head of Hamas’s foreign political bureau Khaled Mishaal has described the normalization of Arab relations with the Israeli occupation state as an “extreme evil that must be confronted with all possible means.”
Mishaal made his remarks in a speech he delivered in a youth evening held recently in Istanbul in the presence of distinguished young people from 40 Islamic countries.
Mishaal urged the Muslim nation’s youths to work for the growth of their countries share their people’s concerns and contribute to the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation.
The Hamas official also called on the ruling and active political parties in the Arab and Islamic worlds to build partnerships within their countries to serve their common interests and prevent any foreign interference in their internal affairs.
He criticized what he called the Western world’s blatant double standards that were exposed further by the Ukrainian crisis especially with regard to the treatment of refugees and the peoples’ right to resistance.
“They described the Ukrainians as resistance fighters but they put us on their terrorist lists” he said.
“The Movement makes great efforts during its work and its resistance of the Zionist occupation to develop its capabilities and means in order to achieve the liberation project create a balance between the principles and interests and uphold its identity and values” he underlined.
“Hamas is not infallible and makes mistakes but it learns from its mistakes corrects itself and improves its work” he added.
Mishaal expressed his Movement’s pride in the Muslim nation and keenness on its security stability and unity.
