Khaled Mishaal former head of the political bureau of Hamas movement said “The Emirati-Zionist agreement was a shock to everyone” noting however that the pro-normalization trend in the Arab world is retreating.
Mishaal stressed in an online dialogue with the Moroccan Justice and Development party’s youth that “the Palestinians will never provide a cover for any attempt to violate Palestinian rights.”
He expressed belief that Israel was no longer the most influential power in the region but rather other regional powers were rising.
The Hamas leader stressed that “there are promising signs regarding the restoration of unity of the Palestinian ranks as there are common denominators and there is unanimity on the rejection of American Zionist projects.”
Mishaal emphasized that the Americans and the Zionists were surprised by the Palestinian consensus in rejecting the so-called “deal of the century” and the annexation plan. This Palestinian position has solidified the hesitant Arab position and has frozen the conspirators’ plans he added.
