The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Tuesday displaced a Palestinian family after demolishing their home in Jerusalem at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
According to local sources an Israeli municipal crew escorted by police forces stormed as-Suwayh neighborhood in Silwan district east Jerusalem with a bulldozer and knocked down a house that accommodated a mother and her children.
The house was built six years ago and owned by Aisha Hijazi who provides for eight children.
The family who received a demolition notice six months ago suffers from financial hardship and was not able to hire a lawyer to challenge the measure.
