The Higher Islamic Commission and the Council of Muslim Scholars and Preachers in Jerusalem has urged Muslim worshipers to intensify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque in the holy month of Ramadan and observe coronavirus containment measures during their stay at the holy site.
In a joint statement the Jerusalemite institutions stressed that the entire Aqsa Mosque with its premises paths and courtyards are places for the performance of acts of worship prayers Qur’an recitation and seclusion.
They also urged the Muslim nation to make the holy month an occasion to end all conflicts and estrangements describing it as “the month of unity tolerance and love.”
