Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and National Security in the Gaza Strip Major General Tawfiq Abu Naim issued on Tuesday new recommendations addressed to security apparatuses in Gaza to pursue a series of new security measures along the Egypt-Gaza border.
In a press statement the spokesman of the ministry Iyad al-Bazem said that Abu Naim visited the southern border on Tuesday morning and held several meetings with competent authorities. He was acquainted with the security measures and efforts exerted to prevent any threats in the region.
Abu Naim returned to Gaza Strip from Cairo on Monday after a nine-day-long visit paid by Hamas delegation led by its chief in Gaza Yaha al-Sinwar.
