Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday morning and later in the afternoon.
According to local sources at least 182 settlers escorted by police officers entered the Mosque in groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards.
During their tours at the Islamic holy site the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them performed Talmudic prayers in the eastern area of the Mosque.
Meanwhile the Israeli occupation police continued to tighten their restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the Mosque prevented many of them from entering the holy site and expelled others from its courtyards.
In a related context a Jerusalemite evening was held on Sunday in Taybeh City in 1948 occupied Palestine in the presence of Sheikh Ekrima Sabri a noted Aqsa Mosque preacher and head of the Higher Islamic Council in Jerusalem.
During the evening Sheikh Sabri highlighted the religious importance of the Aqsa Mosque to the Muslim nation and stressed the need for Muslim worshipers to visit it frequently in light of the dangers threatening it.
