Violent clashes broke out on Friday night between Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers in Jenin and Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that soldiers set up a makeshift checkpoint at the main entrance to Juba town south of Jenin which provoked clashes with local young men who threw stones at them.
The sources added that the soldiers intensively fired tear gas grenades at the young men causing many citizens on the road including drivers and storeowners to suffer from their exposure to the resultant fumes.
In Nablus similar clashes erupted overnight in Sebastia town after Israeli military patrols stormed its neighborhoods and removed a Palestinian flag from the hill of Issa.
