PA government welcomes AL initiative to end internal crisis

GAZA (PIC)– The PA government on Wednesday welcomed the Arab League initiative of sending a delegation to the PA-run lands in a bid to mediate an end to the internal crisis especially over formation of a national unity government.

Dr. Ghazi Hamad the PA government spokesman said in a press release that numerous Arab parties had expressed concern over the infighting in the Palestinian lands and declared readiness to exert good offices in a bid to halt such feudal fighting.

Hamad explained that the Arab League said it was prepared to send a team to mediate a solution to the political crisis in the Palestinian arena. He said that his government was ready to cooperate in this regard.

The spokesman also hailed the Egyptian role that is constantly working to defuse tensions in the Palestinian arena.

Hamad said that the League did not fix a date for arrival of the delegation.

AL secretary general Amre Mousa on Tuesday said that the League was ready to send a senior delegation to the Palestinian lands in an attempt to solve the internal political crisis.
