The Palestinian Authority (PA) preventive security forces on Saturday evening apprehended the Hamas leader Ibrahim Nawahda after storming his home in al-Yamoun town to the west of Jenin city in the northern West Bank.

The wife of captive Nawahda said that the PA security forces confiscated a toy gun of her young child at the pretext of maintaining public security.

Detainee Nawahda served 12 years of imprisonment in Israeli jails for being a member of al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas Movement.

Palestinian Authority (PA) preventive security forces stormed on Tuesday afternoon the home of the Hamas leader Jihad Nawahda 50 in al-Yamoun town west of Jenin city. He was taken to the headquarters of the apparatus in the city. No reasons were released.

Nawahda an ex-detainee who served six years of imprisonment in Israeli jails is one of the key leaders of Hamas Movement in the district. He was rounded up by the PA forces more than once over the past years local sources told the PIC reporter.
