The Palestinian Authority (PA) preventive security forces banned on Wednesday a group of youth from holding their first conference in Ramallah city for alleged security reasons.
Palestine Youth Bureau of al-Sharq Forum announced in a statement that the preparatory committee of the conference has been working for five months in order to come up with a conference that sheds light on the most important issues of the Palestinian Question.
About 5oo Palestinians from the West Bank Occupied Jerusalem and 1948 Occupied Jerusalem have participated in the preparatory meetings and contributed to the great success of the conference preparations according to the statement.
The Palestinian youth group strongly condemned the PA’s security measures that run contrary to the Palestinian Basic Law which guarantees the right to freedom.
The youth group expressed their apologies to the participants and other concerned people and pointed out that their conference in Gaza is going on.
