The Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces Friday night arrested the member of the Palestinian Legislative Council Ibrahim Abu Salem.
This arrest of a Palestinian MP is the first of its kind since the PA decided to dissolve the Legislative Council about a month ago.
The Hamas-affiliated MP before he was elected was a professor at al-Quds University.
One of Marj al-Zuhur deportees Abu Salem had been held in Israeli jails for many years.
