The Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces have kidnapped one Palestinian citizen and summoned another while continuing to detain others illegally.
According to a statement released by Hamas on Wednesday the PA preventive security forces in Tulkarem kidnapped Muaad al-Khaseeb the son of senior Hamas official Fathi al-Khaseeb from his home at night.
The same security apparatus also summoned Sheikh Ibrahim Abdul-Razaq for interrogation next Thursday.
In another context the PA security services refuse to release several citizens detained illegally in their jails in the West Bank including a young man called Hasan Shawahneh who has been in detention with no indictment or trial for 17 days. He is also deprived of seeing his family.
The security apparatuses in al-Khalil also transferred prisoner Aws Abu Arqoub to Jericho jail despite a court verdict ordering his release and extended the detention of Mahmoud Abu Dawoud and Ahmed al-Awiwi for 48 hours with no guilt.
Awiwi has gone on hunger strike in protest at his illegal detention according to Hamas’s statement.
