Officers from the Palestinian Authority (PA) preventive security apparatus on Tuesday night kidnapped 25-year-old Qassam Halayka a Hamas-affiliated ex-detainee from his home in Ash-Shuyukh town northeast of al-Khalil.
Qassam’s mother told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that eight elements from the PA preventive security apparatus stormed her home in al-Zarraqah neighborhood in the town at around 11 o’clock in the evening and rounded up her son.
According to his mother Qassam got married about two weeks ago and had spent five years at different intervals in Israeli and PA jails.
His father Mousa Halayka has been in Israeli jails for 13 years serving a 22-year prison term on charges related to his affiliation with al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas.
