A set of committees is being formed to run Gaza’s home affairs Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister Rami al-Hamdallah said on Tuesday morning.
Speaking at the opening of a cabinet meeting al-Hamdallah said the Palestinian government decided to take up its mission in the blockaded Gaza Strip as of Monday.
He added that the government has decided to form ministerial committees to control the border-crossings security matters and government-run bodies in the enclave.
The committees are also to be tasked with following up on the upshots of the national rift and all the ensuing crises.
Al-Hamdallah called on the Palestinians regardless of their partisan affiliations to combine forces so as to boost national consensus and retrieve the government’s control over the Gaza Strip.
