The Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip have announced the formation of the national committee for organizing marches of return and breaking the siege.
Coordinator of the national and Islamic forces in Gaza Khaled al-Batsh told a news conference on Wednesday that “arrangements are underway to successfully organize the marches of return.”
Batsh called on the Palestinian people from all spectra in the West Bank and Gaza to actively participate in the rallies to be held at the end of the current month in support of the right of return.
He also said that there were efforts to coordinate the event with the Palestinian communities abroad and rally their support for the marches of return.
The Palestinian official noted that arrangements were launched to hold the march and set up a sit-in camp in Gaza.
He affirmed that there was a consensus on forming the committee between all factions including Hamas Fatah and Islamic Jihad the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Palestinian People’s Party.
