A 59-year-old Gaza farmer was shot and injured by Israeli gunfire on Saturday east of Khan Younis along the southern border of Gaza Strip according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The unidentified farmer was transferred to hospital with a bullet wound to the back spokesman for the ministry said.
His condition was described as moderate he added.
Israeli navy forces and army troops routinely open fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing within the six-nautical-mile zone off the Gaza shores and farmers working in farmlands along the border with 1948 occupied Palestine flagrantly violating the ceasefire deal that was struck following 2014’s offensive on the coastal enclave.
