A Palestinian citizen was injured on Friday afternoon when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently dispersed the weekly demonstration in Kafr Qaddum village in the West Bank district of Qalqilya.
Activist Murad Shtewi said that the IOF assaulted the demonstrators and heavily fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at them.
A Palestinian youth was shot in the arm and treated in the field.
Dozens of Palestinians after performing the Friday prayers took to the streets in Kafr Qaddum in protest at Israel’s expanding settlement activity in the West Bank and at the recent wave of normalized ties between Israel and some Arab governments.
