Sunday 9-January-2022

A Palestinian young man was injured by live ammunition and others suffered from their exposure to tear gas during clashes on Saturday evening with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) near al-Arroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil.

According to local sources the clashes happened at the main entrance to al-Arroub camp where the IOF showered local youths with tear gas and stun grenades and fired live ammunition at them.

Meanwhile Palestinian resistance fighters opened fire at an Israeli military checkpoint near Ya’bad town in the southwest of Jenin.

Local sources said that resistance fighters fired a hail of bullets at the Dotan checkpoint before withdrawing from the place.

In a separate incident the IOF last night stormed Aboud village in the northwest of Ramallah and clashed with local youths.

Local sources said that the IOF fired live ammunition and tear gas and stun grenades at young men who responded by throwing stones.

The IOF also helped a group of Jewish settlers gather at the only open entrance to Deir Nidham village in the northwest of Ramallah and protected them. Later the IOF stormed the village with no reported arrests.
