A 28-year-old Palestinian man Islam Herzallah was killed and 968 others were injured on Friday during clashes with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) that erupted after IOF soldiers quelled the marches of return which have been held for the third week in a row east of Gaza Strip.
IOF troopers showered Palestinians with gunfire and tear gas grenades resulting in the killing of Herzallah and the injury of so many protesters including 17 journalists and medical crews.
As being held under the theme “Hoisting the Flag” the participants in the peaceful march were able to hoist the Palestinian flag over a 25-meter-high flagpole north of Gaza Strip.
The Higher National Committee of the March of Return and Breaking the Siege affirmed the continuation of the marches of return events.
