The wife of senior Hamas official Yasser Badrasawi has accused Israeli jailers of procrastinating over her husband’s request to provide him with medical treatment and transfer him to hospital.
Umm Islam Badrasawi’s wife said that a prisoner released recently told the family that her husband was suffering from a health issue in his chest and asked for his transfer to hospital for medical tests.
She added that the Israeli jailers refused to take him to a heart specialist to diagnose his health problem.
Badrasawi who was kidnaped from his home on June 6 had undergone cardiac catheterization before his current detention and suffers from other serious health issues including in his back according to his wife.
Recently an Israeli military court approved the administrative detention of Badrasawi for six months with no indictment or trial.
He had already spent a total of 11 years in jail mostly in administrative detention.
