Al-Ardah was recently held in solitary confinement as a punitive measure after he escaped from Gilboa prison last month along with five other prisoners.

Held in solitary confinement monitored by cameras al-Ardah has been denied his simple personal belongings including a blanket.

Quoting al-Ardah the lawyer said that he is held in a very small dirty cell monitored by cameras.

Al-Ardah stressed he will continue the hunger strike till improving his detention conditions.

Mohammed Al-Ardah was among six Palestinian prisoners who escaped Gilboa prison one of Israel’s most secure jails via a hand-made tunnel.

An Israel Prison Service official described the escape as “a major security and intelligence failure”. Palestinian resistance groups hailed it as “heroic”.

The prisoners were re-captured separately after several days during which Israeli authorities had launched a manhunt.

Since his re-arrest Al-Ardah has been subjected to tough investigation. He was deprived of food sleep and medical care while enduring intensive rounds of interrogation.
