Palestinian prisoners in Ramla infirmary exposed to medical neglect

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs has accused the Israeli prison service of medically neglecting Palestinian patients in its jails especially those in the Ramla prison infirmary.

“The prison service deliberately neglects their difficult health conditions and avoids providing them with the medication and treatment they need. They are only given sedatives and painkillers” the commission said in a press release.

According to the commission the Palestinian prisoners who are in the Ramla infirmary are Khaled al-Shawish Mansour Muqida Mutasem Radad Nahid al-Aqra Saleh Saleh Nidhal Abu Ahour Nadem Abu Saleem Nour Bitawi Emad Sawarka Mahmoud Abu Eisha Mohamed Mar’iee Amer al-Khatib and Abdul-Rahman Barqan.

The commission affirmed that all those detainees in the Ramla infirmary suffer from serious health conditions and need life-saving medical care.
