The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday re-arrested a Palestinian detainee at the time of his release from Negev jail.
Head of the Committee of the Families of Jerusalem Detainees Amjad Abu Asab said that the IOF re-arrested Rami al-Fakhouri 28 immediately following his release from Negev jail after he served an 11-month sentence.
Abu Asab said that al-Fakhouri was transferred to al-Maskoubiyeh detention center for interrogation and his detention is likely to be extended until Monday.
He added that al-Fakhouri had been arrested several times on charges related to his activities in al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Fakhouri lost his eye during confrontations a few years ago over a settler break-in into al-Aqsa Mosque Abu Asab noted.
Al-Fakhouri was arrested in August 2017 and sentenced to 11 months in prison after an Israeli court accused him of being a member of “Al-Aqsa Youth Movement”.
