Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday afternoon killed a Palestinian young man from Al-Tarm village near Ya’bad during clashes at the Dotan checkpoint south of Jenin.
Local sources said that confrontations erupted after the Friday prayer at the Dotan military barrier near Ya’bad. The youths burned tires as part of the Friday of Escalation activities.
The IOF soldiers fired live bullets at the demonstrators fatally wounding the young man Yusef Atatreh 25. He died shortly later at the Governmental Hospital in Jenin according to the sources.
In another development IOF quelled a march that began in Ni’lin village west of Ramallah protesting against the aggression in the Gaza Strip and condemning the violations in Jerusalem and the 1948 occupied territories.
Eyewitnesses reported that the IOF soldiers were on the roofs of several houses and fired at the demonstrators upon their arrival at the main entrance to the town.
A young man was seriously wounded with live bullets in his chest while four others were hit by rubber-coated metal bullets one of whom was a volunteer paramedic in the Palestine Red Crescent Society who was shot in his head.
