Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and killed a Palestinian teen as violent clashes erupted in the West Bank city of Nablus late Wednesday.
Palestinian medics identified the teen who was killed as Waseem Khalifa 18 from Balata refugee camp in the West Bank.
At least 31 Palestinians were wounded four of whom were shot with live ammunition and three of whom were in critical condition the Palestine Red Crescent said.
The clashes erupted when Israeli forces stormed the area to protect Jewish settlers visiting Joseph Tomb.
IOF troops were intensively deployed throughout the neighboring streets to secure the settlers’ break-in.
During the clashes IOF soldiers fired rubber bullets and tear gas bombs at local youths who were protesting the settlers’ break-in.
Meanwhile the IOF arrested a young man after stopping his car at the Annab military checkpoint at the entrance to Nablus.
Another young man was brutally assaulted and beaten by the Israeli police forces near the Old City in Occupied Jerusalem. He suffered from different injuries and bruises.
Along the same line a group of Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles southwest of Jenin.
Also in Jenin IOF troops also stormed Ya’bad town and set up a military checkpoint at its entrance blocking the locals’ movement.
