Palestinian woman Suha Jabara was transferred to a hospital in Jericho as a result of harsh torture and investigation in the Palestinian Authority (PA) prisons.
Local sources quoted the family’s lawyer as stating that Suha’s health condition has deteriorated owing to the mistreatment and torture she has been subjected to in PA cells where she has also been on a hunger strike to protest her arbitrary detention.
Her family said the PA prosecution has accused Suha of assisting families of slain and jailed Palestinians.
The PA court adjourned Suha’s trial for another 15 days pending investigation procedures. Her family raised concerns that the arbitrary extension of her remand would lead to worse health conditions.
