The Palestinian youth Walid al-Sharif died of wounds he sustained during the Israeli police attack on Palestinian worshipers at al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan family sources reported Saturday morning.
Walid al-Sharif 24 breathed his last at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital southwest of Occupied Jerusalem.
On April 22 Al-Sharif suffered serious injuries after he was directly hit by a rubber-coated bullet in the head causing skull fractures and brain hemorrhage.
The family affirmed that he was arrested despite his serious injury. He was subjected to deliberate medical negligence as oxygen was cut off to the brain for 28 minutes after his detention.
The holy month of Ramadan has seen an unprecedented rise in Israeli violence against Palestinian worshipers arresting and injuring hundreds of them.
