A Palestinian young woman who was allegedly trying to stab Israeli soldiers near the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil on Sunday evening was shot and pronounced dead.
A Hebrew media outlet said that an Israeli soldier was injured in his neck and shoulder in the stabbing attempt adding that his injuries were minor.
The Palestinian ministry of health said that it was informed that the young woman had died adding that her identity was still not known.
It added that the young woman is the second to be killed at the hands of Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday. A 47-year-old Palestinian woman was shot and killed earlier today by IOF soldiers in Bethlehem.
