Burqa villagers and Palestinian national figures have urged citizens from the village and nearby towns to confront the Jewish settlers who intend to organize a rally on the evacuated site of Homesh outpost on Saturday evening.
“After the satanic settler gathering that was staged on Thursday on Mount Qubaybat (the site of Homesh) groups of extremist settlers and rabbis announced once again their intent to stage a massive march on Saturday in the same place” Burqa villagers and dignitaries from Nablus and Jenin said in a statement on Friday.
“Such terrorist gathering will be held under the slogan “Bringing Homesh to life” their statement added.
They called on everyone in Nablus and Jenin to help them in their efforts to confront the settlers and prevent them from achieving their malicious goals.
They held the Israeli occupation government and its army fully responsible for any crime committed by settlers against the Palestinians in the West Bank.
Settler groups recently announced on social media their intent to organize a violent rally on the site of Homesh on Saturday to demand their government to rebuild it.
Several gangs of settlers especially from the hardline hilltop youth group have recently launched multiple attacks against Palestinian citizens their cars and property in villages and towns near illegal settlements in the West Bank.
Such attacks have escalated since an extremist settler was killed and two others were injured about a week ago by resistance fighters near the Homesh site.
The Israeli occupation army which often helps settler gangs launch attacks against the Palestinians declared last Thursday Burqa village a closed military zone before hundreds of extremist settlers flocked to the mount where Homesh was once located.
