Clashes burst out at daybreak on Monday between Palestinian anti-occupation youth and heavily-armed Israeli patrols in Jenin’s southern town of Jaba’ in the northern occupied West Bank.
Israeli military troops rolled into Jaba’ and searched Palestinians at the main entrance to the town stirring tension in the area.
Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinian youth with teargas grenades and acoustic bombs.
At the same time confrontations broke out in Azzoun town east of Qalqilya shortly after Israeli forces stormed the area and cracked down on Palestinian civilians.
Palestinian protesters responded to the assault by hurling stones at the occupation troops.
