A number of Palestinians were injured on Saturday when Israeli settlers attacked farmers in Urif village south of Nablus city.
Local residents said that scores of Israeli settlers coming from Yitzhar settlement approached Palestinian houses in Urif adjacent to the settlement and hurled stones at them.
When Urif families took to the streets to confront the settlers several Israeli military patrols stormed the area provided protection to the settlers and fired live ammunition and teargas canisters toward the Palestinian citizens causing injuries among them.
Activist Mnawar Abu Zaher said that some of the injured were treated in the field while eyewitnesses reported seeing a Red Crescent ambulance heading to Urif.
Urif’s village council said that the attack was the second in a week in the same place.
