The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs said that the Israeli administration of Ashkelon jail provided Palestinian prisoner Mohamed Barrash who suffers from several health problems with expired medication.
Barrash told a lawyer from the Commission who visited him in Ashkelon jail that he found out about two weeks ago that the prison administration were giving him expired cholesterol medicines and that he told jailers about that but they did not care.
According to the Commission prisoner Barrash is one of the sick prisoners who suffer from multiple serious health problems and are exposed to medical neglect warning that his health could worsen after he took expired mediation for several months.
The prisoner is a left leg amputee and also suffers from serious eyesight problems fast heartbeats (tachycardia) and failure to hear properly as a result of severe ear infections.
