The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs has accused the Israeli prison service of medically neglecting prisoner Mahmoued Abu Kharabish a 54-year-old from Ein as-Sultan refugee camp in Jericho.
Prisoner Abu Kharabish has been in jail since 1988 serving a life sentence so he is considered the doyen of Jericho prisoners.
According to the Commission the prisoner suffers from irregular heartbeat blood pressure severe stomachaches and high cholesterol.
“Despite his poor health condition prisoner Abu Kharabish has not received proper treatment for many years” the Commission stated.
