Prisoner Seba at-Titi enters day 14 of hunger strike

Monday 31-October-2022

Palestinian administrative detainee Seba at-Titi entered on Monday day 14 of the hunger strike he staged in protest at his solitary confinement.

According to the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs prisoner Titi a 33-year-old from Balata refugee camp in Nablus has been locked up in an isolation cell for over a month and is deprived of receiving family visits and buying his needs from the prison commissary.

He was kidnaped by the Israeli occupation forces on April 10 and later an Israeli military court approved his administrative detention for six months.

However his administrative detention was extended recently for an additional six months after he completed his previous term.

The Commission pointed out that Titi started to suffer from multiple health issues including headaches join inflammation and weight loss.

His sister Aseel at-Titi was arrested on October 2 as she was visiting him in Ramon jail at the pretext of her attempt to stab a female jailer.

Administrative detention is a procedure that allows the Israeli occupation army to hold Palestinian prisoners indefinitely on alleged secret information without filing indictments against them or allowing them to stand trial.
