Protest sit-in in Gaza against the PA salary cuts

Tuesday 18-April-2017

Head of Hamas’s popular action department Ashraf Abu Zayda slammed the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah for the salary cuts decision against Gaza government employees.

In a solidarity sit-in with Gaza employees held on Tuesday in Gaza Abu Zayda affirmed that the Palestinian people in the besieged coastal enclave adhere to armed resistance until the liberation of Palestine.

The Hamas official charged the PA President Mahmoud Abbas with responsibility in full for the successive crises hitting the blockaded Gaza Strip. “The Palestinian people will not tolerate Abbas’s conspiracies” he said.

In her speech during the event the wife of the Hamas leader martyr Abdul-Aziz al-Rantisi Umm Muhammad held Abbas responsible for the siege consequences and the current crises.

Umm Mohammad said Abbas has no legitimacy after the arrest of resistance fighters. She asked Palestinian factions not to give up resistance and asked them to avenge Palestinian martyrs especially al-Qassam Brigades’ Commander Mazen Fuqaha who was assassinated in Gaza late March.
