The Qatari Ambassador to Gaza and the Gaza reconstruction official Mohammad al-Ammadi arrived in Gaza on Friday via Beit Hanoun crossing.
The PIC reporter revealed that the Qatari Ambassador arrived along with his deputy head Khaled al-Hardan in a few-day visit to the besieged Gaza Strip.
Dozens of key projects are being carried out in the blockaded Gaza Strip by the Qatari Committee for Gaza Reconstruction. These projects are funded by Prince Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani’s grant for Gaza reconstruction with a value estimated at $407 million in addition to other grants.
Special sources told the PIC that Ammadi’s few-day visit to Gaza aims at following up a number of projects funded by his country. The visit is the first of its kind after the Qatar-gulf crisis which broke out on June the fifth.
