The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) intends to open Karam Abu Salem border crossing on Friday exceptionally to allow in shipments of Qatari-funded fuel and cooking gas.
Director of the crossing Munir Ghalban told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the generous Qatari aid would be composed of 6000 liters of fuel for the Gaza power plant and 120 tons of cooking gas for household use.
As for the new gas pipeline to Gaza Ghalban said this project needs equipment and approval from the Israeli side to establish it.
The Karam Abu Salem crossing is the sole commercial passageway to Gaza and it is repeatedly closed under different pretexts.
