Jerusalemite activists have called for confronting the Jewish settlers’ raids into the Al-Aqsa Mosque and for foiling their plots that aim to organize a massive raid into the holy site on Sunday.
Deputy Director of the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Council Sheikh Najeh Bakirat said on Saturday that protecting the Al-Aqsa Mosque must be a top priority for Palestinians and Jerusalemites adding that Israeli plans pose a threat to the holy site and require continuous confrontations.
For his part Sheikh Mohammad Sarandah a preacher at the holy Islamic site warned in his Friday sermon about the danger the Israeli excavations pose to the Al-Aqsa Mosque stressing that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a place of worship for Muslims only and does not accept division.
The so-called Jewish temple mount groups have called for organizing a mass storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday on a Jewish religious occasion.
