Ezzat al-Resheq member of Hamas’s Political Bureau hailed Wednesday the Tunisian MP Sulaf al-Qusantini’s position in defense of the Palestinian MPs detained in Israeli jails at the annual conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in St. Petersburg.
In a phone call with MP al-Qusantini Resheq praised her courageous speech during which she called for the immediate release of the Palestinian democratically-elected MPs from Israeli prisons.
For her part PM al-Qusantini expressed her total support for the Palestinian people and cause.
The expulsion of Israel’s representative would pave the way to prosecute Israel for its war crimes in all international forums she said.
Earlier Tuesday the Israeli Knesset delegation to the IPU annual conference was forced to leave the hall after a series of anti-Israel proposals were approved.
