Preacher of holy al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ekrema Sabri and director of the religious teachings at the Islamic Endowment Department Najeh Bkeirat warned of Israeli intents to impose a new fait accompli at al-Aqsa.
Speaking in exclusive statements to the PIC Sheikh Sabri said the Israeli break-ins at al-Aqsa make part of underway attempts to impose a new fait accompli and grab hold of the site under the religious pretext.
According to Sheikh Sabri the Israelis are making use of the Jewish holidays pretext to tighten grip around al-Aqsa Mosque.
“But never ever shall we make such schemes see the day. Such aggressions will never grant the Israelis sovereignty over the site” vowed Sabri.
He added that the attacks carried out by Israeli policemen on al-Aqsa storerooms and clinic among other structures represent a barefaced provocation to the Muslim community around the world.
Sheikh Sabri denounced the bans and mass abduction campaigns launched by the Israeli forces against Palestinian youth near al-Aqsa Mosque saying such aggressions rather fall in with Israeli intents to Judaize Occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque.
For his part Sheikh Bkeirat warned of the serious repercussions of Israel’s sacrilegious schemes aiming to wipe out al-Aqsa’s and Jerusalem’s Islamic identity.
Bkeirat told the PIC that the Judaization scheme is carried out via massive police protection of settlers mass break-ins under the pretext of Jewish holidays and the falsification of historical facts tactics that do aim to alter the status quo maintained at al-Aqsa since 1967.
