The Hamas Movement leader in Tubas Faze Sawafta called on the administration of an-Najah National University to treat all student blocs equally and to encourage positive atmospheres during the upcoming Student Union Council elections.
In a press statement Sawafta asked the university administration to protect the election process and to prevent external intervention that aim at pressuring students to vote for certain blocs.
The Hamas leader pointed out that the Islamic bloc’s decision to participate in the elections despite the arrests of its leaders and cadres is a clear announcement of willingness to bear responsibilities towards students.
