Scores of Jewish settlers forced their way into the al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday morning.
The settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under tight police guard.
Meanwhile the Israeli occupation police tightened their movement restrictions on Muslim worshipers at the al-Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates.
The al-Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.
Recently extremist Jewish groups incited their followers to storm the al-Aqsa Mosque en masse at the end of the current month to mark religious holidays and perform different Talmudic rituals in its courtyards prompting Jerusalemite figures and activists to urge their compatriots to intensify their presence at the Islamic holy site to protect it against the intended settler desecration.
