Two high-ranking officials at Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps praised the recent achievements made by the Palestinian resistance in the face of the Israeli military aggressions on Gaza.
Addressing a ceremony held in Tehran on Thursday to mark the death anniversary of Brigadier General Hassan Tehrani-Moqaddam known as the father of Iran’s missile program Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said the people of the besieged Gaza Strip have achieved such a victory within 48 hours of confrontations with the Israeli occupation forcing the Zionist regime to ask other countries to mediate a ceasefire.
Israel’s attempts to secure a ceasefire indicate that they have accepted their defeat in the face of the Palestinian people he added.
Addressing the ceremony Major General Mousavi also lashed out at the failed policies of the US and Israel in the face of the axis of resistance.
“The defeat of the Zionist regime and the defeat of the Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) terrorist group and the strengthening of the resistance in Yemen are indicative of our geopolitical progress and the failure and defeat of Iran’s enemies” he said.
On Tuesday Palestinian groups in the besieged Gaza Strip agreed to an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire with Israel to halt two days of intense fighting with Israel sparked by a covert raid by the Israeli military that took away the lives of seven Palestinians before culminating in the death of at least six more Palestinians.
