Settlers rebuild outpost southeast of Nablus

Friday 12-February-2021

Jewish settlers began rebuilding a settlement outpost in the southern area of the lands of Qusra’s town southeast of Nablus on Thursday.

Ghassan Daghlas an official monitoring the settlement activity in the northern West Bank said that this outpost was removed several years ago by the Popular Resistance Committees; and Esh Kodesh settlers are rebuilding it today.

The Nablus province witnesses repeated attacks by settlers who block roads and attack citizens and their property.

Qusra is located about 24 km southeast of Nablus and is built over an area of about 9000 dunums with a population of more than 8000. The town is surrounded by three Jewish settlements.

Qusra is exposed to constant incursions by armed settlers who attack the peaceful citizens in their work and farms.

The town formed a resistance model for the rest of the Palestinian villages as it formed night watch committees seven years ago to warn against and ward off settlers’ incursions.
