Seven years have passed since the child Muhammad Abu Khdeir from Shu’fat town in Occupied Jerusalem was burned alive by Jewish settlers.
Muhammad’s father said in tears that the memory of his son never left his mind.
The memory of the Jerusalemite child is still present in the hearts of Palestinians especially his family who commemorated this day by putting a wreath of flowers on his grave.
Seven years pass as seventy
The martyr’s mother confirmed that seven years passed like seventy years filled with longing for her child who was mercilessly burned by settlers.
Muhammad’s mother said that she will continue to remind the settlers of their crime they committed against Muhammad the cheerful child who loved people and people loved him.
“Muhammad had six siblings and I wanted him to be happy in his life” she added.
Freedom Path
While laying a wreath of flowers on Muhammad’s grave his family confirmed that what happened was one of the most heinous crimes committed against a Palestinian child. Family members said that children of Palestine similar to the adults pay the price for the path towards freedom.
Muhammad was kidnapped tortured and burned alive by settlers at dawn on July 2 2014 and his body was found in the forests of Deir Yassin.
After announcing his martyrdom a popular uprising was launched in Jerusalem and all its neighborhoods.
Shu’fat village Muhammad’s hometown was the starting point of a revolt against the Israeli occupation and its settlers.
The angry citizens attacked the Israeli railway line which passes through their village and passes near the house of the martyr and sabotaged it for several months.
Dozens of Palestinians were injured during the daily confrontations that were taking place in the village and the neighborhoods of Jerusalem.
