Over 20 Palestinian young men suffered different injuries during a renewed round of nighttime clashes on Sunday with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) near Mount Sobeih in Beita town south of Nablus.

The Red Crescent said its ambulances crews provided on-site medical assistance for 21 young men — 12 of them suffered from inhaling tear gas eight were injured after falling to the ground and one was hit by a tear gas canister.

Four of the wounded young men were taken to a medical center for further assistance according to the Red Crescent.

Meanwhile local sources reported that one young man identified as Ammar Yousef was kidnaped from his home in the town.

The intense confrontation with the IOF in the area around Mount Sobeih where an illegal settler outpost was set up recently started in the evening and continued into the night of the same day.

During the events young men torched a large number of tires producing raging flames and billows of thick dark smoke in different points around Mount Sobeih.

The protesting youths also used loudspeakers and flashed laser beams and flashlights at the settlers on the mount in order to create confusion and panic among them and prompt them to leave the area.

Meanwhile the village of Beit Dajan in eastern Nablus also saw a nighttime protest and clashes with the IOF near the illegal outpost that was set up by settlers in the eastern area of the village.

For several weeks local youths from Beita town and other areas of Nablus started to organize nightly protest events as a form of popular resistance against the Israeli occupation and its settlers.
