Sheikh Mohamed Hussein Grand Mufti of Palestine has forbidden any facilitative step or process that gives Jerusalem and the land of Palestine to enemies.
In a statement on Thursday Sheikh Hussein said that Jerusalem is an Islamic mortmain property “which belongs to the entire Muslim nation and cannot be waived or given to enemies.”
“Enabling enemies to have the House of Islam (Jerusalem) or any part of it is forbidden and considered treason against Allah Almighty his Messenger the believers and the faith of Islam” he stated.
“Any person or party from the Arabs and Muslims are prohibited from helping the [Israeli] occupation or enabling it to expand its control over a Muslim land” he added.
The Mufti stressed that “Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the State of Palestine and that the US decision to move the embassy to it and declare it a capital for the occupation is an invalid and illegitimate step taken by a country which is not the rightful owner of the land.”
