Sheikh Ekrima Sabri head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem has affirmed that the clam would return to Palestine if Israel kept its hands off the Aqsa Mosque its gates and vicinity.
In his Friday khutba (sermon) Sheikh Sabri reiterated that the Aqsa Mosque pursuant to a divine ordinance from Almighty Allah belongs to the Muslim nation alone and stressed the need for the Israeli occupation state to understand this fact because “it is a religious right.”
He said that Israeli forces and settlers unprecedentedly and persistently violated the Aqsa Mosque’s sanctity during the holy month of Ramadan calling on Muslims to frequent the Mosque to protect it against Israeli violations.
He also urged the Arab and Muslim nations to stand by the Palestinian people and urgently move to help end the Israeli blockade on Jerusalem and Gaza.
